Artist impression of LEAD Leiden at dusk, seen from the south-east

The tallest residential tower in Leiden. And the quietest.

Three towers, of 19, 25 and 34 floors. The tallest rises to 115 metres: the tallest residential tower in Leiden. From your home you see the Pieterskerk, the Burcht, the windmills and, on clear days, the dunes and the sea.

At street level, it feels different.

A ground floor four metres high, with a coffee bar and open entrances. Warm materials, not concrete and steel. A city park for a front garden. LEAD is a building you walk into, not one you walk past.

Artist impression of the entrance of LEAD seen from the garden under trees: tall glazing in a dark stone frame between pale horizontal bands, a mother and child at the door, and a group of people sitting among the planting.
Artist impression seen from above the Willem de Zwijgerlaan in Leiden: the three LEAD towers with green vertical fins rise beside the avenue, with brick apartment blocks in front and the low city beyond.
The three towers are 115, 85 and 65 metres tall.

The towers are family: different heights, the same character.

Together they make a new piece of the city, where the centre meets Nieuw Leyden.

Building tall is the most sustainable way to live in a city.

Three towers on a site that already has a station, a city centre and a cycle path to the beach. No new road, no meadow built over, no car needed. That is the first choice.

The second is the building itself. Energy label A+++, no gas connection, 1,993 m² of roof terrace and 2,670 m² of outdoor space.

The third is how you live there. Bicycle storage for 1,707 bikes on the ground floor. A gym, a pool and a workspace in the building, so fewer trips.

The park

Grass, trees, paths and places to sit. A front garden of real size, for you and your neighbours. Coffee is on the ground floor.

02

The roof gardens

Two shared roof gardens, on the 6th and 19th floors. Watch the sun come up with a coffee, or end the day with the neighbours. Living up high is different.

Artist impression of the stepped, terraced base of LEAD: a shared roof terrace with autumn trees where residents and children gather, with balconies stepping down below.

“The sculptural profile of each tower avoids a massive appearance, preserves views, and reduces wind and sun issues.”

03

The ground floor

This is where the building meets the street. A coffee bar with a terrace, the entrances, people on their way to the pool or to work. Life at eye level.
